Beethoven: A Journey of Struggle, Faith, and Timeless Music

An invitation to share in the life of this genius, a man outwardly of violent temperament, whose life was full of tragedy, sorrow, and disappointment. Beethoven composed much beautiful music that will remain with us for all time. The music he held within enabled him to rise above his travail, and he left us such a precious gift — a gift that will last for all time.

“Beethoven, for all his trials, knew that God loved him, and in particular, he had an insight into what God wanted from him. And though he had contemplated suicide, he felt he needed to finish what he knew his God was asking of him.”

We invite you to come and share in his story and the beauty of his music.

John, married to Margaret, has six wonderful children (one of whom has passed) and eight grandchildren. A chartered accountant by trade, he has also been deeply involved in music through radio and seminars. Currently a music student and cellist, John studies under a renowned teacher who has also presented at the Centre. In addition to music, John practices meditation and has taught Tai Chi and Qi Gong for many years, continuing to integrate these practices into his daily routine. He values the opportunities to share his knowledge and learn from others in his work.
